Evidently, 1/3 full jar is of the lesser capacity as 1/3 is greater than 1/4. As equal amount of water was poured into each jar, pouring water from the jar of lesser capacity to the larger jar will make the amount of water in the larger jar to get doubled.
Therefore, the fraction of larger jar filled with water will be = 2 x 1/4 = 1/2
